There is no doubt that Manhunt 2 is one of the most controversial video games ever made, and some have even argued that Rockstar’s game glorifies murder and violence. In the game, players control insane asylum inmate Daniel Lam, who is accompanied by a sociopathic murderer named Leo Kasper. The game involves stalking and killing opponents in brutal ways using a variety of melee weapons and firearms, with the game sporting plenty of graphic violence.

But it is clear that Manhunt 2’s nihilism did not go down well with censors in the UK, as it was one of the few games to be denied classification by the country’s ratings board (the BBFC). Rockstar fans could eventually get their fix of Manhunt 2 in the country though, as a modified version of the game was allowed to go on sale in the UK after a while.
