Static Mesh Improvement Mod (SMIM)

While wondering around Skyrim you probably came across objects that were not as detailed as the others. A fence in a farm close to Whiterun, a lantern on the table of that Riverwood blacksmith, a basin in a dungeon or charcoal in a smelter were not that detailed. You probably didn’t notice, as Bethesda’s artists focused on the important 3D models such as creatures, main characters, weapons and armours.

But a devoted Skyrim fan has seen fit to improve all the secondary 3D models, the “supporting actors” of the cast, so to speak. He has improved “architectural elements, clutter, furniture, and landscape objects”. And the results are very pretty, which is great for nitpickers and detail obsessives.
