Since it was announced last month, Sid Meier’s Civilization VI has become one of the most eagerly awaited video games of the year, which is not surprising taking into account that the Civilization strategy series is one of the most renowned and best-known in gaming.

These games allow players to take control of a Civilization in the Stone Age, building new cities to expand their territory, dealing with and conquering other nations and researching new technologies to win either by cunning or force… And the game has always offered plenty of civilizations to choose from, including ancient civilizations like the Babylonians or Romans, or more contemporary ones like England or America.

A new video released by Civilization developer introduces the English civilization, which is led by the 19th century queen Victoria, and shows players the special features that make this civilization unique in the game. Their “special ability” is the British museum, which will likely be useful for those aiming for a cultural victory in the game, as it’s likely that this building will generate more culture points than the standard museums that other Civilizations can build.

Although those looking to win by the sword will be able to use England’s Redcoat troops, which were the cornerstone of the old British Empire, and in the game get a bonus when fighting on continents away from the civilization’s capital.

Judging by this video, it looks like Civilization VI will offer the same deep and engaging strategy as earlier Civilization games, and perhaps could even end up becoming the best game in the series when it’s released this fall.

Note: Sid Meier’s Civilization VI will be released on October 21, 2016. Available on PC and Mac.
