Skyrim offered more quests than you can shake a stick at.

Despite the fact that Fallout 4 has a rather engaging main quest in which the protagonist searches for his missing son in post-apocalyptic Boston, and which is perhaps the best yet in a Bethesda game, Fallout 4 still suffers due to the fact that the game simply has much less quests than Skyrim overall.

And while Fallout 4’s main quest is pretty great, Skyrim did offer far more peripheral content and arguably better faction quests. In particular, the questline for the sinister assassin guild known as the Dark Brotherhood was truly great, and the multitude of quests in major cities like Whiterun made playing through the game several times worth it as you could discover quests you had missed in previous playthroughs. Also, Fallout 4 quests do tend to be of a simplistic nature, as they involve travelling to a location and killing everything in sight to retrieve an important object, while Skyrim’s were often deeper and more involving than that.

WINNER: SKYRIM
