It’s a fact of life these days that in order to enjoy online gaming on both the Xbox One and PS4, one must pay for either console’s premium online services, Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus. But membership does come with several advantages, as both services offer video game discounts on a regular basis.

And now Microsoft’s Major Nelson has revealed that Xbox Live Gold members will be able to get several major games at discounted prices this week. These games include the likes of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, the military shooter that topped the US’ best-selling charts last year, even if it can be argued that it wasn’t as fine a game as its rival Battlefield 1. But still, this is a chance to get Infinite Warfare at a discounted price ($39 US dollars on Microsoft’s online store) and enjoy its pretty good single player campaign and serviceable multiplayer too.

Also, those yet to get hold of Rockstar’s best-selling phenomenon GTA V will be pleased to hear that the game will be getting a 50 % discount this week (this offer is valid for all Xbox Live members, not just Gold members actually), meaning it can be had for $30 US dollars on Microsoft’s online store. And despite the game having been originally released in late 2013, it has continued to be a best-seller, mostly thanks to the popularity of its GTA Online multiplayer mode, which has surely been wildly successful to date.

Other games getting discounts through February 27 include Forza 6 and the earlier Forza 5, and also the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, a game that is now backwards compatible on the Xbox One.

So those yet to get hold of the latest Call of Duty and GTA games will be able to do so at discounted prices this week thanks to the latest batch of Xbox Live deals, while it would surely be a great thing if Xbox One gamers kept getting more solid deals like these throughout 2017.
