Those who enjoyed 2016’s Hitman game surely were pleased when developer IO Interactive announced that another entry in the world-renowned franchise would be coming in late 2018.
Like the earlier game, this will also feature several large locations for players to exercise their trigger finger in, with one of these (Miami) having been revealed at the E3 show in Los Angeles this year.
The thing is, will Hitman 2 feature as many locations (six) as the earlier game, which took us from Paris to Hokkaido in what surely was an unforgettable stealth and action game?
And the people behind the game have now confirmed how many locations we can expect to play through at launch.
“We have six confirmed locations that will be immediately playable when Hitman 2 launches on 13 November 2018, and there will be multiple missions available within each location”, IO told gaming website VG247.
We still don’t know what those locations are, but if early rumours are to be believed, the next Hitman game will take us to places like New Zealand and Colombia, while in terms of content Hitman 2 will feature missions similar to 2016’s Hitman reboot. That is, there will be a main assassination mission for each location, Escalation Contracts and Elusive Targets, a live feature that surely many players enjoyed in the last game.
It remains to be seen though, whether Hitman 2 will reach the heights of its predecessor, but here’s hoping this will be another action and stealth game to remember when it hits shelves this fall.
