Hitman 2016 is arguably the best entry in the series to date, thanks to its huge locations, thrilling stealth gameplay and the variety of ways in which you can deal with your targets – it truly is a murder sandbox of epic proportions, and surely was one of the best games of 2016.
Its recently released sequel Hitman 2 has lived up to the hype, offering more of what was great about its predecessor, including the Elusive Targets.
These are assassination targets which appear in the game for a limited time only, meaning there’s a deadline for completing these contracts. Also, dying during the mission really means game over, as players are not allowed a second chance to kill the Elusive Target.
And Hitman 2’s first Elusive Target is somebody you might really want to put down, a former MI5 agent whom the ICA (the organization Hitman 2’s protagonist Agent 47 works for) has been trying to kill for some time now… Unsuccessfully, though, as Mark Faba aka “The Undying” has resisted every single murder attempt so far.
It might not surprise you, then, that Faba is played by Sean Bean in Hitman 2, an actor who’s famous for playing so many characters on TV and movies who meet an untimely death.
This makes him the perfect Elusive Target in Hitman, and the briefing video above does gives you an idea or two about how to deal with the rogue agent, including stabbing him with a pen in the eye or shooting him with a sniper rifle from the race tower (actually, this briefing video might give a bit too much away).
Sean Bean is not the only celebrity actor who has appeared in a Hitman game – actor Gary Busey featured in one of the previous game’s Elusive Target missions back in July 2016.
Here’s hoping this is the first of many Elusive Target missions to come then, and that IO keeps adding new content to Hitman 2 on a regular basis in the months to come.
