There is no doubt that Mortal Kombat 11 is one of this year’s most eagerly anticipated games. After all, this is one of the best-known fighting game franchises, even if some will always claim that Street Fighter is the real top dog in this arena. Nonetheless, Mortal Kombat continues to attract a loyal following, thanks to its brutal action, fun gameplay and great roster of characters.
And Mortal Kombat 11 will be bringing back some of the top characters from the earlier games including female ass-kicker Sonya Blade, who will be voiced by sports star Ronda Rousey in this iteration of the franchise.
Also coming back is Johnny Cage – you know, the cocky movie star with an attitude problem who’s been doing the rounds in the series since the first Mortal Kombat game hit the arcades back in 1992.
Johnny has a few new tricks in store in Mortal Kombat 11 too, as you can see in the video below. For instance, the cocky actor can summon a stunt double during a fight to grab his opponent, thereby landing free hits on his opponent (who says playing dirty doesn’t pay off?).
Also, his new fatality must be seen to be believed – it takes Johnny a few takes to get it right though…
Plus, the action does look as slick and spectacular as in the series’ best entries, so here’s hoping that Mortal Kombat 11 does turn out to be something special when it releases next month.
