Although it’s been less than a month since the last trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi was released, Disney has already put out another trailer for its upcoming blockbuster movie.
Titled “Awake”, this new trailer shows new footage from Rian Johnson’s Star Wars film, which will hit theatres this December in the US and worldwide.
Amongst other things, this lets viewers see Luke Skywalker aboard the Millennium Falcon for the first time since the original trilogy. Also, we see a bit more of Finn (John Boyega) here too, who looks like he will actually be the big deal he promised in The Force Awakens as he goes toe to toe with Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie) and even gets to pilot an X-wing too.
Meanwhile, Rey (Daisy Ridley) continues her training with Luke Skywalker, truly proving that the Force is strong in her… And in a nod to the fact that not everything might be what it seems in this trailer, we hear Luke say “this is not going to go the way you think”.
There’s not much more to wait until The Last Jedi is released though, so here’s hoping this turns out to be a worthy successor to 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens when it hits theatres this December.
