If one thing is clear, is that Final Fantasy IV was a tough act to follow, but developer Square still managed to come up with a great sequel even though Final Fantasy V’s story wasn’t as deep or as well developed as that of its predecessor. Like its predecessors, this game also had 2D graphics, as the series would not make the jump to 3D until 1997’s magnificent Final Fantasy VII, but the game’s beautiful art and good musical score by the inimitable Nobuo Uematsu were still great.

Final Fantasy V also had a new, revamped jobs system, with many character classes available for players to choose from including novel ones like Oracle and Necromancer (which were added to the game’s more recent editions for mobile), making Final Fantasy V a solid entry in this classic RPG series.
