Ranking the Resident Evil games from best to worst

7. Resident Evil: Revelations 2

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 delivered plenty of thrills in its four episodes.

This Resident Evil was noteworthy due to its episodic structure, as the action took place across four episodes, each ending with a cliffhanger. Also interesting was that you could control two groups of characters, being able to switch between them on the fly like in the earlier Resident Evil Zero. Plus, this was the first game in the series in which players could control Resident Evil stalwart Barry Burton.

The secondary characters were not that great though (particularly the foul-mouthed Moira) and the lack of enemy variety and mediocre puzzles hurt things a little. The game’s remote island setting was suitably atmospheric though, while it’s “raid mode” (which turned the game into a gallery shooter together with disco music) was entertaining enough, making this another good entry in the Resident Evil series.
