If one thing is clear, is that the Paris Games Week is one of the big video game events of the year, in which game publishers and developers get to show off their latest creations to eager video game fans.
And it looks like this year’s show in Paris will be no different, and one big video game publisher has already revealed that we can expect big things from them at this year’s event. This is none other than Sony, who revealed in a blog post (via GameSpot) that “a slew of updates and announcements” are coming at Paris Games Week 2017.
Sony also said its PlayStation Live event (which you will be able to follow on Twitch and social media too) will kick off on October 30, 2017 at 3 PM Paris time (8 AM PT) with a series of game announcements.
This will be followed with a media showcase in which we will be able to enjoy the usual slew of trailers from the Japanese giant, plus a debriefing session at the end of this will shed more light on Sony’s upcoming game releases too.

And clearly this year’s PGW could be a unique opportunity for Sony to reveal more details about upcoming titles such as Detroit: Become Human and the post-apocalyptic zombie game Days Gone, two exciting PS4 exclusives which don’t have a release date yet.
Actually, Detroit: Become Human was one of the star attractions at Paris Games Week 2015, and surely the gaming world will want to know more about Quantic Dream’s futuristic adventure at this year’s show.
The same holds true for Days Gone, a fantastic-looking post-apocalyptic game which looks likely to feature great gameplay and characters. This is on many gamer’s wish lists for the year, no doubt (and many will be anxious to find out whether this game developed by Bend Studio will actually be shipping in 2017…).
Here’s hoping then, that Sony’s press conference at Paris Games Week 2017 is indeed packed with surprises, and that this will be another video game event to remember when it concludes next month.
