Star Wars Battlefront 2, Mass Effect Andromeda and others getting discounts in latest Origin sale

The say the best things in life are free, but be being able to get some of the top video games released in the last couple of years at heavily discounted prices has to count as the next best thing, no doubt. You will be able to do this if you’re a PC gamer now, as Electronic Arts’ is running a sale on its video game service Origin until March 6.

This means you’ll be able to get games like Mass Effect Andromeda for the low price of $9.99 US dollars (a 60 % discount on the list price) and the Mass Effect Trilogy Pack for $7.49. Okay, I hear you say Mass Effect Andromeda isn’t the series’ best game (not by a mile actually) and shipped with a ton of bugs last year, but Andromeda is a much nicer experience nowadays thanks to Bioware’s patches. And being able to play the original Mass Effect games for less than $10 is nothing to scoff at either…

Plus, there’s also last year’s Star Wars Battlefront II on sale right now. This is a game people loved and hated in equal measure, even if we found it to be a solid and entertaining Star Wars experience in our review, and a game well worth playing. And should you decide to take the plunge and buy into this Star Wars shooter, the PC version is now available on Origin for $23.99 (a 60 % discount).

Fans of online multiplayer shooters can also rejoice as two of 2016’s best-reviewed games are also on sale right now. These are DICE’s top-rated game Battlefield 1 which is getting a 75 % discount (it’s currently available for $9.99) and Titanfall 2 which is available at a discount too ($4.99).

Battlefield 1 offers a deep first-person action experience set during World War I, and features an engaging single player campaign and solid multiplayer too, while Titanfall 2 is a sci-fi shooter which was sadly off most people’s radars back in 2016, and definitely deserves a look at its current discounted price.

Those who fancy a little racing action will be able to pick up last year’s (somewhat disappointing) Need for Speed: Payback, the latest entry in EA’s long-running racing franchise which is currently going for $23.99. Also, FIFA 18 (arguably last year’s top sports game) is getting a 60 % discount now, and is selling for $19.99.

This is an opportunity to get some good PC games on the cheap then, something you will be able to do until March 6, 2018, which is the end date for this latest Origin sale.
