Those who played 2014’s video game Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, know that protagonist Talion had plenty of reasons to get even with the Dark Lord Sauron in that game. After all, a band of ruthless orcs slaughter him and his family at the beginning of a game, with our hero returning to wreak revenge on Mordor as a wraith later on.

Shadow of Mordor certainly was one of 2014’s best games, in no small part due to its innovative “Nemesis” system which added an interesting RPG element to the game, as when enemy orcs defeated the player they would “level up” in the orc hierarchy and be tougher to defeat the next time around.

And those who enjoyed Shadow of Mordor will be happy to know that Warner Bros. has announced a sequel to what arguably was 2014’s best game, also releasing a spectacular trailer for the upcoming Middle-earth: Shadow of War, which will be released in August this year.

According to publisher Warner Bros. in the game “players wield a new Ring of Power and confront the deadliest of enemies, including Sauron and his Nazgul” and also that Shadow of War will feature an “expansion of the award-winning Nemesis system”.

So this will certainly be good news for those who enjoyed Shadow of Mordor back in the day, as this game is bound to be bigger and better than its predecessor, meaning fans of the original Middle-earth adventure will no doubt be looking forward to this one for sure.

Note:  Middle-earth: Shadow of War will be released on August 22, 2017. Available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
