Great atmosphere and gameplay made Inside one of the year’s top video games.

Although many people thought that it would be hard for developer Playdead to best their earlier game Limbo (which was considered one of 2010’s finest by many), the studio managed to improve on their earlier release with Inside, which has been one of 2016’s top video games no doubt.

This is because Inside not only excelled when it came to its puzzles, which were physics-based conundrums that required acute awareness of the environment, but the game also was one of 2016’s most atmospheric games. Inside’s graphics and art were not only top-notch, with great attention to detail, while the superb sound design helped immerse players in its dark, oppressive world. And the game’s final twist is certainly one of the most memorable in gaming, making Playdead’s game the best puzzle-platformer to have hit the shelves in 2016.
