Boasting oversized weapons, demons, gore and a heavy metal soundtrack, Doom was one of 2016’s best.

With this Doom reboot id Software dragged the much-revered franchise kicking and screaming into the 21st century, after the earlier Doom 3 had ended up being something of a disappointment. But thankfully this new iteration of the legendary series delivered everything that fans were hoping for as it boasted fantastic graphics, fast-paced action and the kind of gore players don’t usually see in first-person shooters anymore.
