7. Okami

It is rare that a game makes the Guinness Book of Records for being the “Least commercially successful winner of a Game of the Year award”, but that is the case with this one. So it seems Okami leads the “I was loved by the critics but did not sell” list of games. One could argue that artistic games such as this one don’t sell, because they don’t appeal to the mass market. In other words, the average gamer cannot appreciate them.

But either way, Okami was a beautiful and entertaining game that gamers did not love and neither did it enjoy commercial success. A bit like the Prince of Persia movie, then.
