4. Forza Horizon 3
There is no doubt that the Forza Horizon games have been the premier racing video games on the Xbox One to date, and it’s likely that quite a few fans of the series thought that developer Playground Games would have its work cut out for it trying to improve on the great Forza Horizon 2. But the truth is that Forza Horizon 3 managed to outdo its predecessor in every single respect, as this was not only a game that offered an enormous selection of cars to choose from, including the best models from prestigious brands like BMW or Aston Martin, but also plenty of racing options.
The game’s new Australian setting was also a sight to behold, from dense rainforests to the dusty outback, it was a beautiful backdrop for the game’s rewarding races. And these even let you pit sports cars versus speedboats, making Forza Horizon 3 one of the best racing games seen in years and one of the best gaming experiences Xbox One owners could enjoy in 2016.
