The best Assassin’s Creed games on PS4

2. Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection

This remaster isn’t technically perfect, but it still offers some of the best Assassin’s Creed games to date in one package.

Without a doubt, the Assassin’s Creed games featuring Ezio Auditore were some of the best fans of the series got to play over the years. But sadly games like Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations had been missing from the PS4 catalogue. This is because they were originally released for last-gen consoles, but thankfully Ubisoft put these out on PS4 as part of The Ezio Collection remaster in late 2016.

So this means PS4 players can finally enjoy the games starring ladies’ man Ezio Auditore and the great Assassins vs Templars stories told in these games. Like all the main Assassin’s Creeds these are all open-world games, with Assassin’s Creed II and Brotherhood being set in 16th century Italy, while the later Assassin’s Creed: Revelations has a more novel setting and takes place in the Middle East. Each has an engaging mean story and quests, while there are also a ton of side activities like the cool Prince of Persia-style tombs of Assassin’s Creed II, the assassination contracts in Rome in Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and the puzzle-like sections taking place in the modern-day seen in Revelations, for instance.

So this makes The Ezio Collection, despite its occasional technical glitches and slightly dated gameplay, a great entry point for those new to the Assassin’s Creed series on PS4, no doubt.
