The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind – PC system requirements revealed

Fans of role-playing games have no doubt heard of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. This was one of the best RPGs to come out back in 2002, and arguably is only second to Skyrim in the long-running Elder Scrolls series.

So fans of Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls series no doubt were happy to hear that the company would be releasing another game set in Morrowind this year. Actually, this is an expansion for their acclaimed The Elder Scrolls Online (TESO for short) game, and will be hitting PCs and consoles this June.

And those looking to enjoy this expansion on PC will be glad to know that Bethesda has now revealed the PC system requirements for it on the game’s official website. And thankfully these are pretty modest overall, meaning no cutting edge PC will be necessary to enjoy this latest TESO experience.

Actually, an Intel Core i3 processor or AMD equivalent will suffice to get the game running, while only 3 GB of memory will be necessary to meet the game’s minimum system requirements. The storage requirement is above average though, as a total of 85 GB of hard drive space will be needed for a TESO installation including the Morrowind expansion pack. Aside from this, a Nvidia GeForce 460 card will do to enjoy this latest TESO expansion.

The recommended system requirements are not out of this world either, and an Intel Core i5 2300 processor coupled with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 or AMD Radeon HD 7850 graphics card will be enough to see the game at its best.

Also noteworthy is the fact that this Morrowind expansion comes in the wake of the 15th anniversary of Bethesda’s 2002 Morrowind game, still one of the best in the Elder Scrolls series. And although many fans were hoping the company would remaster their 2002 classic, this is something that’s almost certainly not happening now. But at least there’s the eagerly awaited Skywind fan-made remaster on the horizon, which is certainly looking good, but seems to be a long while away yet.

But still, it’s likely the upcoming Morrowind expansion for TESO will end up being as worthwhile as the others released for the game to date, offering Elder Scrolls fans another great slice of adventuring and role-playing when it comes out this summer.
