Ever since Sony’s PS4 console was released back in 2013 we’ve seen quite a few remasters come out for the machine, letting players enjoy older games on their new-gen consoles. And while most remasters feature upgraded visuals and reworked music, sometimes players also get extras like developer’s commentaries and other extra content, letting them enjoy the “definitive” version of the game.

And 2015 was no doubt a strong year for remastered editions of video games, with remasters of the Uncharted games and Journey hitting the market in the year. Here follows a list of the top 5 remasters which came out on PS4 in 2015.

1. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection

This games collection includes the first three games of the Uncharted series, namely the original Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, which came out in 2017, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. And there’s no doubt that developer Naughty Dog’s games were some of the best that came out for the PS3, offering a great mix of action, adventure, third-person shooting and platforming. Plus it’s also a boon to be able to replay Uncharted 2, which many consider the highlight of the series, even if the original Uncharted game hasn’t aged so well, though.

Aside from the enhanced visuals (which incredibly make the games look like current-gen releases at times), the controls and other aspects of the games like aiming have been tweaked to make playing through the trilogy a more consistent experience. And it is clear that this Uncharted collection is perhaps the best remaster to date and a must for those who’ve never played an Uncharted game, as these are undoubtedly some of the best action-adventure games this side of the Tomb Raider series.
