3. Forza Motorsport 6

Many people consider Forza Motorsport the best racing series out there, and for good reason: it features an enormous array of cars that handle realistically on the game’s varied selection of tracks, and plenty of gameplay modes like the career mode that lets players test their driving skills to the max.

And this latest instalment is probably the best of the lot, as it offers the same healthy selection of cars as its predecessor, but also a variety of racing tracks, from the game’s challenging Rio de Janeiro track to Daytona. And the night racing feature will surely test the mettle of even the most experienced racing game fans, as it limits your visibility and really feels like driving at night, as well as the new weather conditions like rain which require skilful manoeuvring to make it through. All in all, Forza Motorsport 6 is not only a great racing game, but it certainly was one of the top offerings on Xbox One this year.
