Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has proven to be a strong sequel to 2011’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution, with its good sci-fi plot, cast of characters and great role-playing gameplay. And developer Eidos Montreal set the stage for the game perfectly with and excellent live action trailer, which although doesn’t feature any actual gameplay from Mankind Divided (or even show its protagonist Adam Jensen), is still one of the year’s best video game trailers.

The trailer shows how a couple is separated in the game’s dystopian world after those with cybernetic “augmentations” (which grant people superhuman strength or vision, for instance) are deemed too dangerous for society and segregation laws are put in place, and we get to see a man’s struggle to reunite with his augmented partner in a live action trailer that’s moving and one of the best-produced  gamers have gotten to see in 2016.
