A new trailer was recently released for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which is no doubt one of the top video games of the year. And the trailer not only features some of the epic moments seen in this role-playing game, but also highlights the glowing critical reception the game has received, and how much loved by gamers Geralt the witcher’s latest adventure is.

As a matter of fact, The Witcher 3 was the big winner at this year’s Golden Joystick Awards (which are voted for by gamers), with 5 wins, including the ultimate game of the year, best storytelling and best visual design awards. And given that The Witcher 3 is certainly one of the best sword and sorcery role-playing games ever made, with a superb story in which the titular witcher Geralt of Rivia is on a quest to find his adopted daughter Ciri while battling the fearsome Wild Hunt riders, it is clear that this game is certainly a worthy winner.

Also given the game’s superb visuals, it is not strange that CD Projekt’s video game bagged the best visual design award. After all, The Witcher 3 cost over $80 million to make so it was bound to look superb (and it does).

The game has also gotten plenty of reviewer praise (its Metacritic score stands at 92, one of the highest to date), and this is clearly highlighted in the trailer, with the likes of GameSpot even stating that The Witcher 3 is “one of the best games ever made”.

But those who are now done with the game and are looking to spend more time in the fantasy world of Temeria need not despair, as the first of the game’s two expansions is already out, and CD Projekt will be releasing a meatier one titled “Blood and Wine” in the first quarter of 2016. Also, a movie based on author Andrzej Sapkowski’s Witcher novels is slated for release in 2017, so fans of the Witcher games still have plenty to look forward to in the future.
