9. Final Fantasy XV

Cindy is around to give you a hand in Final Fantasy XV.

Final Fantasy XV is the latest instalment of the long-running fantasy role-playing series, and was one of the top games previewed at last year’s Tokyo Game Show. The game will feature open-world gameplay, with players being able to perform a series of side activities like fishing, and even riding those cute flightless birds known as Chocobos like in earlier instalments.

Although Final Fantasy XV has already caused controversy due to the portrayal of one of the game’s characters, namely the car mechanic Cindy, who was considered a sexist character by some. But still, Final Fantasy is a role-playing series with great, appealing characters, and classics like Final Fantasy VII (of which a remake is in the works) have featured some of the best RPG gameplay to date. So it’s hard to see how this game won’t end up offering another great gameplay experience to Final Fantasy fans when it hits the shelves next year.
