8. Far Cry New Dawn

The Far Cry series has been going strong since 2004, and last year’s Far Cry 5 delighted many players with its great open world gameplay and characters. Evil cult leader Joseph Seed (the villain in Far Cry 5) surely was a great character, and he’s making a return this year in Far Cry New Dawn.

What’s most noteworthy about this upcoming Far Cry game is that it’s set in a post-apocalyptic America like the Mad Max movies. However, as you can tell form the screenshot above this will be a much more colourful setting than that seen in other post-apocalyptic games. And as stated earlier Joseph Seed is returning here. The big twist is you’ll team up with “The Father” to take on an evil pair of twins who lead the Highwaymen – the game’s enemy faction as seen in the story trailer below.

Release date: February 15, 2019. Available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
