This game by Japanese developer PlatinumGames (makers of hit titles like Bayonetta) might end up being one of the best action RPGs to hit the PS4 this year, thanks to its deep combat and interesting open world. In the game, players control a female android who is accompanied by a small flying droid which can shoot at enemies, and also allows players to leap higher in order to get to those hard to reach spots.

The game’s playable demo also showed off another interesting aspect of Nier: Automata, and that is the fact that the game’s developers resort to different perspectives to keep the action interesting, from the usual third-person view to a bird’s-eye view and even 2D platforming. And the game boasts some huge bosses to take down as well, meaning Nier: Automata could end being one of the best games PS4 owners get to play in 2017.
