17. Star Wars Battlefront 2

Swedish developer DICE sure caused a sensation back in 2015 with Star Wars Battlefront. This was an online multiplayer game that let Star fans live out their Star Wars fantasies, taking part in the series’ iconic battles such as the assault on the Death Star or the Battle of the Hoth.

And Star Wars Battlefront’s action sure was exciting, although many missed a single player campaign, something that DICE had to leave out due to time constraints. But thankfully the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront 2 will feature a campaign with a female protagonist fighting for the Empire, which sure is a refreshing change from other Star Wars single player offerings.

Regarding the multiplayer, it will feature scenarios from several Star Wars eras and not just the original trilogy, so we will see characters like Darth Maul duke it out with the likes of Rey from The Force Awakens. Plus like the original, this will almost certainly include a wealth of engaging multiplayer modes, meaning Star Wars Battlefront 2 could end up being one of this year’s top video game hits when it’s released this fall.
