8. Rise of the Tomb Raider

Lara is not afraid of going after big bears in Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Rise of the Tomb Raider sees the return of the iconic video game heroine Lara Croft, and will be made by Crystal Dynamics, the team responsible for 2013’s acclaimed Tomb Raider reboot. The game will mostly take place in snowy Siberia, where Lara will have to deal with beasts such as the bear seen in the image above.

And in an interview, game director Brian Horton said gamers can expect sophisticated gameplay as the game will feature day/night and weather systems, animals will leave tracks allowing Lara to hunt then down, and Lara will have access to multiple bows, which the player can upgrade.

Although the game will initially only be available for the Xbox One and Xbox 360, Microsoft’s Phil Spencer has said that this is a ‘timed’ exclusive, so the game could be seen on PlayStation and PC in the future.

Release date: Fall 2015. Available on Xbox One and Xbox 360.
