SimCity was a city builder and simulator, born out of the mind of legendary game designer Will Wright, who also gave us The Sims. And not only did you have to build your dream city by laying out roads and building residential areas, you also had to play mayor and deal with a modern city’s problems, such as traffic congestion, pollution and even natural disasters.

And sadly, you also had to deal with SimCity’s problems at launch back in 2013. It was supposed to be the best version of the game to date, but sadly was plagued with problems at release. You see, the game required a permanent Internet connection in order to play, and many gamers couldn’t connect to EA’s servers in order to play. Those connection issues were so bad that even Amazon stopped selling the game for a while. And many wonder whether it was due to SimCity’s disastrous release that EA closed down developer Maxis in March 2015…
