6. Halo: The Master Chief Collection (2014)

The Halo games are certainly some of the best first-person shooters ever made, filled with memorable characters like the delightful Cortana, villainous enemies like the pesky Covenant, and lots of memorable set pieces. And this compilation which includes the first four Halo games remastered in glorious HD seemed like a great way to relive those memories, but sadly Halo: The Master Chief Collection was plagued with issues at launch.

As in Diablo 3’s case, the multiplayer side of the games left a lot to be desired, as there were connectivity problems that left many players wanting to enjoy the new remastered Halo HD maps frustrated. But at least developer 343 Industries (who took over the Halo franchise from Bungie) handled the launch issues pretty well, and the multiplayer side of Halo: The Master Chief Collection is a smoother experience for gamers now.
