Conan O’Brien’s comedic segment “Clueless Gamer” has become quite popular over the years, as in this funny show TV host Conan gets to try out some of the hottest video games of the moment, often teaming up with celebrities like singer Wiz Khalifa and actor Terry Crews.
In this show the venerable TV personality does not attempt to hide his gaming incompetence, and also doesn’t shy away from berating the games he gets to play on occasion, even calling Final Fantasy XV “an epic waste of time”.
But it seems O’Brien actually remembers some of the games he gets to play on Clueless Gamer, as he recently revealed in a Reddit AMA (via GameSpot) that his favourite video game is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
The reason for this is not what you expect though, and has nothing to do with the game’s superb story, characters or gameplay. Actually O’Brien said the reason is that “I got to have sex on a unicorn. When that game comes out in VR, you’ll never see me again”.
And it is true that The Witcher 3 has its share of sex scenes, and aside from the unicorn scene in which protagonist Geralt gets intimate with the sorceress Yennefer, he also gets to bed other women in the game. Players can also visit seedy brothels and pay for sex in the game, something that alongside the game’s perceived sexism, has made The Witcher games controversial.
The game’s creator CD Projekt Red doesn’t appear to have any plans to make a VR version of The Witcher 3 (something that might leave Conan O’Brien wanting), but thankfully the company will be releasing a new role-playing epic in the not so distant future, as development on the company’s new game Cyberpunk 2077 is already underway.
