Ever since the old PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles debuted in the last decade, Microsoft and Sony have been locked in a bitter war to offer the best online gaming service, with the Xbox Live and PlayStation vying for user’s affections since then.

And there’s little to separate both consoles premiere online services (Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus) too when it comes to pricing and features, although a recent study claimed that Xbox Live is a faster and more reliable service than its PlayStation counterpart. So this will be a matter of which service most of your console-owning pals are gaming on, then, and whether they prefer an evening of Gears of War 4 or an Uncharted 4 multiplayer session…

Additionally, it can be argued that Sony’s system software running on the PS4 Slim offers a slicker, more user-friendly interface than Microsoft’s Windows 10-based graphical user interface on the Xbox One S, even if the latter is a huge improvement on the GUI that shipped with the original Xbox One.
