10 Star Wars games which were cancelled

7. Star Wars: First Assault

This online multiplayer game would have focused on infantry combat in the Star Wars universe, letting you play as an Imperial stormtrooper. LucasArts had several maps planned for First Assault, set in iconic Star Wars locales such as Tatooine and Bespin.

It’s likely this Call of Duty-inspired Star Wars game would have offered fast-paced action, as squad mates would have been able to heal each other on the field without the need for healing items in the game. First Assault would have also featured cool weapons such as the repulsor, which would have been used to deflect grenades and knock down other players in the game. Players would have been able to employ holographic decoys to distract enemies too, while portable shields like in Overwatch would have made an appearance too.

A follow-up (codenamed “Wingman”) was planned, but since Star Wars: First Assault was canned by Lucasfilm, this neither came to be. Only a video of the tech beta released on Xbox Live remains, giving us an idea of what First Assault could have been.
