Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Last Maharaja DLC Pits the Assassins vs the Templars Again

It is likely that more than one Assassin’s Creed fan might have been disappointed by the fact that there won’t be a major game in the franchise this year. But at least French video game company Ubisoft has released the Chronicles spin-off games set in India and Russia this year (which were pretty good additions to the series, truth be told) and Assassin’s Creed fans also have the big-budget movie starring Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard to look forward to this fall.

Also, new content is still being released for last year’s Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, which is one of the better entries in the long-running series, like The Last Maharaja DLC that came out in March. This DLC forms part of the game’s season pass, but can also be acquired separately.

The DLC’s plot once again pits the Assassin’s versus the Templars, who have joined forces with the British Indies Company and are holding a ton of gold which Duleep Singh (the titular last Maharaja) wants to retrieve for his people, while attempting to become ruler of the Sikh Empire.

He will be helped in this task by Assassin’s Creed protagonists Jacob and Evie Frye, who as seen in the trailer above will take on the Templars and British Indies Company in their headquarters in this DLC’s missions. And hopefully this will be a great addition to the game, especially for those players who can’t get enough of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate gameplay and 19th century London atmosphere…

Note: The Last Maharaja DLC was released on March 1, 2016. Available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
