7. Opening the Indominus Rex enclosure

In its quest for profit, the corporate machine that runs the Jurassic World amusement park comes up with the idea of creating a new breed of dinosaur – a bigger, larger and scarier beast which they call Indominus Rex. And it seems this new dino is no friend of the marketing team, nor of any other member of the staff – given how dangerous it is, it’s kept in its own private enclosure. And early in the movie, it fools everyone into thinking that it climbed over the enclosure wall and escaped.

And park operations manager Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) makes the rather crazy decision of ordering the dinosaur’s pen to be opened, so that action hero and former boyfriend Owen can take a look inside. This allows the beast to escape, but at least she tries to rectify her mistake at the end by luring Indominus with a flare to the mighty T Rex, for the clash of the titans finale… Although obviously at this time the park is in shambles and her job is on the line – but at least we get to watch the tag team action of T Rex, Owen’s Raptor (and the Mosasaurus) put an end to Indominus once and for all…
