12. Far Cry New Dawn (2019)

Taking into account what a smash hit Far Cry 5 was, it was inevitable Ubisoft would release a follow-up. Far Cry New Dawn continues the story of its predecessor, and shares the same Montana location as Far Cry 5, but takes place after the nuclear apocalypse which occurred at the end of Far Cry 5.

The series chaotic gameplay is still here, with a few additions too. New weapons include a crossbow which fires saw blades, letting you take down enemies in style. The new “expedition” missions take you far away from Hope County to places like the Colorado Canyon for some fast-paced fun. There’s nothing players haven’t already done in the Far Cry games before, though, while Far Cry New Dawn’s story and villains (twin sisters Mickey and Lou) are not up to much, this being a tighter, slightly deflating experience than Far Cry 5 was.
