And when the PS4 and Xbox One hit the market in 2013, boasting new-gen hardware with powerful graphics and plenty of memory for games (the PS4 for instance has 8 GB of memory vs the Wii U’s 2 GB), it made the Wii U’s hardware seem puny by comparison. Although hopefully Nintendo will rectify the situation and release a truly powerful successor to the Wii U, as its rumoured that the upcoming NX will even support ultra-high definition graphics and be much more powerful than earlier Nintendo consoles.
