5. Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition (50 % discount)

Although at first sight Dying Light looks like the typical zombie game, this underrated action adventure game released in 2015 is actually one of the better games set during the zombie apocalypse. The game’s Middle Eastern city of Harran is also a detailed and beautiful setting that lets players engage in Assassin’s Creed-style parkour on its zombie-infested streets and rooftops, while carrying on missions related to the game’s admittedly not that great story.

Playing as an undercover agent, the game’s story has some cool characters but lacks surprises, even if some of the side quests are superb though, and mowing down zombies with firearms or cutting them down with melee weapons never gets old.

So clearly Dying Light is a top choice for those who missed it the first time around, and an enhanced edition can now be had with the pretty good The Following expansion at a healthy discount during this year’s Steam summer sale, making it a good pick for those fond of zombie-themed video games.
