4. No playable female characters
Now this one caused quite a stir. Obviously the protagonist in story mode, named Ajay Ghale will be a guy – that is a given as the video game industry is a male centric world. But not even in the multiplayer co-op mode did Ubisoft bother to include any playable female characters. The reason they gave for this basically boils down to it being too much “work” to include any females. But many would still call Ubisoft “sexist”, considering that the forthcoming Assassin’s Creed Unity won’t feature any playable female characters either. In their defence, they claim the story mode features plenty of strong females. Hopefully stronger women than the damsel in distress that was Jason Brody’s dumb girlfriend Liza in Far Cry 3.
