It’s not uncommon for people to hear horror stories about toxic workplaces and bosses from hell, in which getting projects completed is often quite an ordeal… This is not the case (or apparently isn’t, at least) for companies that make Fortune’s “100 Best Companies To Work For”, a list of companies that offer some of the best workplaces in the entire world.
One video game company managed to make this year’s list and this is none other than Activision Blizzard, the world-renowned company behind the likes of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (the top-selling game in the US in 2016) and last year’s multiplayer hit Overwatch, one of the best games released in 2016 no doubt.
As reported on GameSpot, Activision Blizzard has actually improved its position and now sits at number 66 in the list (it featured at number 77 last year). In a press release, the California-based film boasted of the fact that it’s made Fortune’s list for a third year running, while also stating that “ninety five percent of employees reported that they’re proud to tell others they work at Activision Blizzard, and the vast majority said it is a friendly, fun, and welcoming workplace where they can be themselves”.
Leading the list this year was Google, with the tech giant featuring in first place, and sadly no other video game company managed to make the cut besides Activision Blizzard. So kudos to Activision Blizzard then, while gamers can look forward to the company’s next Call of Duty instalment, which will be leaving the sci-fi setting of Infinite Warfare behind and offer something different when it ships later this year.
