This unique adventure game stands amongst the years’ best games, as it featured a gripping storyline with supernatural elements and atmosphere you could cut with a knife. Playing as detective Paul Prospero, you quickly realized that something was amiss in Red Creek Valley, the game’s setting and scene of the disappearance of the boy Ethan Carter, who had the power to meddle with the supernatural.

The game was gorgeous-looking, featuring locations like cemeteries and abandoned mansions that were brimming with detail and quite creepy. Letters and diaries scattered throughout the game world helped you find out more about Red Creek Valley and its inhabitants, and gave you clues about the disappeared boy Ethan. Although the game was a tad short, it still offered an experience like no other.
