7. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection

The Monster Hunter Stories games began as a spin-off of the main series, but has become its own thing, with Capcom getting ready to release another entry in the series next year. And judging by the trailer below, this Monster Hunter Stories game seems to feature another riveting fantasy plot involving rival kingdoms. The kingdoms of Azuria and Vermeil are at odds with each other, but will have to set their differences aside to deal with an environmental disaster…

Of course, there are monsters involved here as a pair of twin Rathalos play a part in the story. But as in previous Monster Hunter Stories games, this is more about forming bonds with the creatures to get them to fight on your side, with this role-playing game having turn-based combat like the earlier entries. And as is the case with several other games arriving next year, it will release on Nintendo Switch 2 (meaning this fantasy RPG can be enjoyed on the go) aside from current-gen consoles and PC.

Release date: March 13, 2026. Available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
