Although quite a few top games like Monster Hunter Wilds and Oblivion Remastered have already hit the shelves this year, there’s plenty more games to look forward to in 2025. These include the likes of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers and also the next Call of Duty game, meaning there could still be plenty for gamers to sink their teeth into this year. Here follows a list of the top 10 games coming in the second half of 2025.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

Games of the “soulslike” kind have become really popular in recent times, and last year’s Black: Myth Wukong was a massive hit. So it makes sense that another Chinese studio (Leenzee) would want to follow in the footsteps of the people behind Wukong, and deliver another Soulslike game this summer.

Set during the Ming dynasty period of Chinese history, the game puts you in control of Bai Wuchang, a female pirate who’s adept with both melee weapons and firearms. The game has an original setting – the land of Shu, which is a stricken by a strange plague which is causing mutations, with her having to face from “grotesque beasts to haunting beauties” during her travels. Players should expect tough boss fights in this Soulslike game, which judging by the trailer below could turn out to be another hit game from a Chinese studio when it arrives this summer.

Release date: July 24, 2025. Available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC (also on Xbox Game Pass).

Mafia: The Old Country

Hangar 13, a US studio, has made a name for itself making games involving the mob, with the first Mafia game coming out back in 2002. This had a 1930s setting, but the upcoming Mafia: The Old Country will be set in the early 20th century. The game was previewed at last year’s Game Awards, with the game’s trailer showing protagonist Enzo Favara taking part in an initiation ceremony to join a Sicilian mob family.

And the more recent gameplay trailer shows that Enzo will have to risk his life for his family, and also that this will be a spectacular-looking game. Enzo will be taking part in bloody shootouts, and also fight enemies with melee weapons such as knives at some point in the game as seen in the trailer below. Getting to ride horses and early 1900s cars could also be fun in the game, which could turn out to be the best in the Mafia series when it arrives this August.

Release date: August 8, 2025. Available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
