Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is considered the best game in the series, so it makes sense that Konami chose to remake the 2004 game. And even though Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima is no longer at the Japanese company, this could still be an impressive remake of the classic game. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will boast top-notch graphics powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine, as seen in the gameplay trailer below, meaning the game’s forests, swamps and jungles should look really good.

Also, Konami is looking to make the game more realistic, as any injuries sustained by protagonist Naked Snake during combat will leave permanent marks on his body in this 1960’s Cold War story. Meanwhile, characters like Ocelot (an adversary of Snake who’s really good with a gun) and others (like the sexy Eva) will be making a return, so hopefully this will be a great remake of the 2004 action and adventure game for both Metal Gear fans and newcomers.

Release date: August 28, 2025. Available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

Dying Light: The Beast

Dying Light: The Beast is the latest game in the Dying Light series, and like its predecessors will have you blasting zombies in an open world setting. The game’s protagonist Kyle Crane, is a man on a revenge missions as he was imprisoned and experimented on for more than a decade… After escaping captivity, he’s looking to get even with the people behind this. A cold, calculating and crazy scientist known as “the Baron” will be Crane’s target, and he’ll be blasting countless zombies using a variety of weapons as he fights for revenge.

As seen in the gameplay trailer below (shown during the Summer Game Fest show), you’ll get to use weapons like flame throwers, machine guns, and shotguns. Aside from this, Kyle will have beast-like powers at his disposal in the game. Riding vehicles and running over zombies with them could be fun too, while engaging in parkour through Castor Woods, which amongst other locations features an industrial park, could be fun. So, will this be Polish studio Techland’s best zombie game to date? This remains to be seen…

Release date: August 22, 2025. Available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Also on PS4 and Xbox One (TBA 2025).
