2. Those big-name actors

Even the likes of Ben Kingsley (left) could not shine in good video game movies like Prince of Persia.

Much has been made of the fact that the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie will star the likes of Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard. The two were last seen together in director Justin Kurzel’s Macbeth, who is also in charge of directing the Assassin’s Creed movie. Fassbender was particularly good playing an android in Ridley Scott’s Prometheus too, while Marion Cotillard is a top-notch Hollywood actress (and one of the best-looking women in the biz too…)

But will the Assassin’s Creed movie’s great cast be able to shine in a video game movie such as this one? Other big-name actors like Ben Kingsley acted in video game movies like Prince of Persia, and suffice to say that wasn’t the best role of the brilliant actor’s career… And even stars like Rosamund Pike ended up looking like B-movie performers in films like Doom, so it remains to be seen whether the acting in this year’s Assassin’s Creed movie will be any good…
