Climates of Tamriel

You would think that Skyrim already had a pretty good weather system, with convincing snow, rain, blizzards and beautiful sunsets. But the Climates of Tamriel mod is probably the most comprehensive weather mod out there, and leaves no stone unturned in its quest to improve Skyrim’s weather.

For instance, according to the authors it adds “high quality cloud textures”, “auroras that move across the night sky” and “new sun and sunglare”. It all looks quite pretty, especially if you enjoy travelling across Skyrim on horseback and doing some sightseeing. The mod also adds “506 new unique weather systems”. That’s a lot of weather systems indeed, and proof that a lot of work went into this fully-featured climate mod.
