Unofficial High Resolution Patch
Taking into account that Skyrim was released in 2011, it had to be designed to accommodate the limitations of last-gen consoles. So this means that its graphics don’t fully take advantage of modern PCs. But Bethesda tried to rectify this by offering a “High Resolution Texture Pack DLC”, to pretty up the visuals and make Skyrim look better on modern computers. They mostly succeeded, except for some bits that were in need of polish.
And a dedicated team of modders have been hard at work to patch Bethesda’s texture pack. They fixed the textures on fish, floor pelts and enemies like dwarven spiders, so that everything looks as pretty (and high res!) as possible.
