Rogue One gets words of praise from this Star Wars actor

It is clear that one of the biggest movie events of the year has been the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the new Star Wars film directed by Gareth Edwards of Godzilla fame and starring actress of the moment Felicity Jones.

The movie has been well-reviewed to date, as it has a strong 84 % score on the Rotten Tomatoes website at the time of writing, while it’s clear that Gareth Edwards movie is poised to become one of the biggest blockbusters of the year no doubt.

And one actor who has featured in four Star Wars movies to date has also tweeted his appreciation for the film, with Mark Hamill stating that the movie “deepens and expands” the iconic Star Wars universe, but also that it “works as a stand-alone movie” in a recent tweet.

Of course, Mark Hamill is famous for playing the Luke Skywalker role in George Lucas’ original trilogy of movies, a role he reprised in 2015’s The Force Awakens film, while he will also appear in the upcoming Episode VIII Star Wars movie, a film in which he presumably will be teaching the finer points of the Force to Daisy Ridley Rey’s character…

But right here and now though, it appears Hamill has enjoyed Rogue One as much as any other Star Wars fan, also tweeting that the movie has a “perfect cast” and offers “astonishing action” and “non-stop thrills”, which is no doubt high praise for director Gareth Edwards’ movie, which is actually a solid entry in the Star Wars franchise, albeit a darker and less humorous movie than last year’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

There’s no doubt too that many Star Wars fans are already looking forward to seeing Mark Hamill in next year’s Episode VIII, which will be directed by Rian Johnson and in which the likes of Daisy Ridley and John Boyega will reprise their roles from The Force Awakens. Although video game fans also know that Mark Hamill is set to appear in the Star Citizen video game, an upcoming space combat game inspired by the Star Wars movies, which will likely be released sometime next year.
