20. Star Wars: Empire at War

Real-time strategy games set in the Star Wars universe have been few and far between, so it’s a good thing that Star Wars: Empire at War is so good. This makes sense taking into account that the people behind the Command & Conquer games of the 90’s were behind it, and here they made a more than decent use of the Star Wars license.

Looking and sounding top-notch back in the day, it’s now showing its age, this is another Star Wars golden oldie which could benefit from a remaster (or perhaps a remake). Nonetheless, the thrill of controlling units like AT-ATs and tons of stormtroopers in a ground battle is real, but micromanaging dozens of spaceships in space battles is even better in this classy Star Wars RTS.
